Learn how to make a plaster mold to repeat geometric or organic shapes, using a mold of 1 or 2 parts.
In this workshop, Anas Rifi-Zinati will teach you how to make your own plaster mold and the different possibilities of reproducing original shapes (geometric, organic or amorphous) in a simple way, allowing you to produce pieces in small series.
Program:
First Saturday: from 10am to 6pm
- Introduction and presentation of how to make a mold of 1 and 2 parts/cuts (and explanation of how to make it without cut).
- Application: you’ll build your own mold of 1 part, using an element proposed by the teacher (if you want to bring your own piece, it’s possible – please contact us in advance and let us know more details about it. Not bigger than 10x10x20 cm).
Second Saturday: from 10am to 2pm
- Presentation on how to prepare the slip for casting.
- Application on how to cast
- you’ll slip cast in your own mold.
No previous experience needed!
Price: 225€/all included
Dates: Saturday 15th March from 10am to 6pm and Saturday 29th March from 10am to 2pm.
