The theory and practical research for the development and application of high temperature glazes.
All glazes are suitable to be used in functional ware.
Program
- Hygiene and safety.
- Basic theory of clays and glazes.
- Oxides and pigments.
- how to work with formulas and make your own bitacora notebook
- Preparation/mixing of test glazes with oxides and pigments.
- Analysis of the fired samples
- Defects and countermeasures.
- Theory of the firing process, temperature curves, how to load a kiln.
- Glaze application techniques such as dipping, spraying, pouring and brushing.
We advise you to bring a notebook / pen for notes. You’ll receive detailed documentation on the subject.
No previous experience needed!
