The wheel throwing course is taught at our school, ElTornBarcelona. The Raku course is taught at the 137 degrees studio in St Celoni (Gualba train stop). We’ll tell you how to get there.
In the wheel throwing course, taught by ceramist Andrea Herrera, you`ll learn to throw several pieces, of which you’ll choose 4 for Raku techniques and 4 for glazing and firing in an electric kiln.
The Raku techniques you’ll learn are the following:
Pieces made with Raku are mainly decorative pieces, they are not suitable for everyday use.
In the glazing class, you’ll learn how to glaze by immersion. These pieces are functional and you can enjoy them daily.
